The Junior Murri Carnival is back for another year!
The junior version of the Murri Carnival showcases the links between health, wellbeing, sport, and education.
More than 600 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children aged between 6 and 12 participate in their choice of rugby league or netball. As part of the Carnival, they also get to tour the University of Queensland campus at St Lucia, and to meet some of their sporting heroes from the Broncos, Titans, and Firebirds.
The event brings our little people together in a safe environment, and focuses their attention on health, education, and exercise.
As with the Murri Carnival, participants must have had their 715 Health Check in the last 12 months to be eligible to take part.
